I cant speak to the SE guitars, but a PRS is a far superior instrument to a les paul in EVERY aspect EXCEPT tone. But a guitar that plays better will sound better in your hands unless you are jsut so good that you can overcome your instrument detuning just because you looked at it.

honestly i would say the PRS definitely if the only other choice is a les paul studio, but if you are able to get a standard or traditional LP those things are in awesome, and PRS is awesome to too.

Even though I am a Gibson man I would recommend the PRS if those are THE ONLY CHOICES..
Try to find an old 80’s Les Paul cheap and work on that can give you advice if you want let me know..

Well “chambering” …
Well “chambering” the body DOES NOT HARM THE GUITAR OR THE SOUND AT ALL. JUST MAKES THE HEAVY GIBSONS THE RIGHT WEIGHT.
I HAVE OVER 25 NOW IN MY COLLECTION..
10 HAVE BEEN CHAMBERED THEY SOUND GREAT..

Get an 90’s les …
Get an 90’s les Paul have it hollowed out have It set up put some 11’s on it along with Grover Tuners and Seymour Duncan Antiquity pick ups and you are set to go and more balls..
This guitar is good but not a Gibson “once a Gibson is set up”no guitar can imitate it.
