No, But they sell for new around $850
im not looking to spend alot but i want a electric guitar i can use in my band which plays alternative and a little rock so my price range stops at about 400 bucks

I am getting my first electric guitar, and I'm wavering between these 2 guitars. My heart tells me go for the Silverburst because I fell in love with it the instant I saw it, but my head is telling me Fender Stratocaster because it's cheaper and supposedly the most versatile in style out of all the electrics.
My two absolute favorite artists are Dave Matthews and John Mayer and I'm always trying to learn their songs. But I'm not limited to them as there are a lot of other songs/artists I enjoy.
So which one should I get? I am completely torn. Everyone tells me including experienced blues players to go with the Strat since I am a big Mayer fan.
Help! All opinions totally welcome! Thanks!
A silverburst LP is definately the better looking guitar. I like LPs myself, but you may like the strat. Try them both out and get the one you are most comfortable with. There is no wrong answer. You can always save up and buy the other one later.

If your favorite music is Dave and John, and this the type of music you will be learning, then you need the Stratocaster. It all depends on what kind of music you play. You can play any style of music on any guitar. But will it sound the way you want it too? Play what sounds right.
